Tonsilitis?

Here's a picture of Cam's tongue and a bit of her throat. Her tonsils are so swollen that they are almost touching in the middle - they also have huge white ulcers on them. Unfortunately, her Pediatrician would not call her in an antibiotic (I discovered her throat condition right at 5:00 p.m.). She had the nurse tell me to just keep her on the Tamiflu for a couple more days. She did not ask her to come in the next day or if I felt it was necessary to take her to the emergency room.
Sorry the photos are not any better, she could not get her mouth open any farther without gagging because the tonsils and uvula were so swollen.
I am one very upset Momma at the moment. Any Pediatrician recommendations???

Poor Cameron, she's been sick now for way too long! I had tonsilitis many times when I was little and had them taken out when I was in Jr. High. It's always good to get a second opinion anyhow, another pediatrician sounds like the way to go!
Hope she is feeling better soon!

it looks like she might have thrush and i dont know if you have ever hear d of these things but she may also have tonsil stones or tonsiloliths. they are white stones that form in the pockets of your tonsils bc food and bacteria get caught in these pockets and harden. sometimes you cough them up and they smell like crap...literally like crap. these contribute to halitosis and possibly to sore throats bc of accumulating bacteria. if she has frequent sore throats maybe you should look into a tonsiltectomy operation.
